What would you pay for a male dinker?
What would you be willing to pay for a normal male dinker?
Considering if it doesn't prove out, it's just a normal boy...hmmm...

100% depends on what he looks like. Ive seen some real dinkers and ive seen some "hey this bp has a clean belly so its definetly a dinker" dinkers...

The boy I'm considering reminds me of a harlequin. Very thick beautiful dorsal, light gold, flames, very reduced pattern. I know most harlequins don't prove out.. but this guy is so striking! Argggg.. decisions decisions...

No more than $30. Maybe $50 at the very most.

A Dinker is a normal that looks abnormal. They have traits that are unusual that may be heritable. They could potentially become their own morph if certain traits, such as a reduced banded pattern or solid black back, are inherited by offspring.

i personally wouldn't consider a male dinker for a breeding project. but i'd probbably wouldn't pay more than $40 for a male.

The guy is asking $60 for him. I think we're going to pick him up. Hubby talked me into it (twisted my arm I tell ya ;) ) even if he doesn't prove out, he's beautiful and my daughters have been wanting a pet snake like we have. I still would like to hear other opinions though! Because I think everyone has their own idea of what's worth a gamble lol

I guess it all depends on how much you're willing to pay and how much faith you have in it proving out. I have a captive hatched male I bought last year that I'd be shocked if it didn't prove out. I didn't pay an exorbitant amount...but far more than I would ever consider for a normal male...or even a pastel or spider male. I'm pretty confident in my purchase, and though I'm not expecting ground breaking results, I don't question or regret the amount I paid for him.
