    Big enough to give birth in, but crowded when the babies get a bit of size. I'd go bigger. They don't need height as much as width, floor space.

    I use concrete mixing tubs from Homedepot as birting and grow out tubs they are cheap and easy to clean :)

    I use the 20qt tubs in my momma racks and as long as you feed off some when they hit the fuzzy size then the tubs do not become over crowded.
    I find the babies we pull from the momma tubs are bigger than the same age babies we leave in the colony with adults.
