    Setups ...any tips?
These are the new set ups for two of the new babies...all of my others are very similar....installing the $12 thermometer/humidity gages in the morning...have to pick up five more....also in the market for termostats for my uth...never knew i needed one til i found you guys....i hate glass tanks but thats all i can affors at the moment...boaphile or animal plastics will be getting my money come springtime though:D..so anyways left hand side is warm side with small snug hide i made out of a plastic storage tub...a little one lol...right side is.cool side with water.dish/ hide combo....moving tanks to a shelving system so they are enclosed on all sides save the.front....should i clutter it up some with fake plants etc? Is an overhead light or heat lamp needed? Or is the belly heat enough? Its amazing how much bad info there is out there.....i had no idea how off i was on my husbandry.....we are working hard to rectify that....picked up Kevin McCurley's books...and with the reading on here hub and couldn't believe how far off the mark we were....i <3 you guys

I know that feel! I got some good info from the guy that I got my ball from but it was tough going with a lot of other places. I have my guy in a setup very similar to yours, though I will say that I have mine in a regular steralite bin, works wonders and it is a massive space for him... 110 qts is a little less than 30 gallons US... and they are only $16.99 a pop (that includes the lid). Freaking love these things.

Have the enclosures with the heat pad on for a day and night. measure the temps each hour and see if the ambient is consistent. For the humidity, get some plastic wrap and cover 2/3 of the screen, it works great for me, and I'm using aspen, lol.

Please do not use your UTH unless you have your thermostat, or at least a light dimmer.

As long as you can keep the ambient temperatures proper, belly heat is all you'd need.

I'd add some fake plants or crumpled up newspaper, since you said they're babies. Young ones particularly do well in smaller set ups, but can do fine in larger ones as long as there are lots of places to hide, etc.
