Is it ok if my boa doesn't eat to refreeze the rat and thaw it out again at a later date?

Re: Refrozen?
Refreezing is not a good idea, just ditch it and try a new one on the next feeding time.

It would depend.
If you thaw your rats using warm water, you could easily refreeze it once more. If you leave your rats in the fridge over night, etc, then throw it out.
Personally, if anyone refuses, I throw it out. I've only refroze a rat once, and when my bee went for it, it exploded..

I agree throw it out I've tried refreezing to save on money (specially with rats being ten dollars a pop here) my rat eater is giving me problems (new girl) but I have tried it with mice and I managed to put my finger through the belly when taking it outta the water the last time 😖it was gross enough I gave up on twice thawed stuff

I used to refreeze occassionally, but I wasn't really comfortable with it. I just pitch 'em now. It's not worth the risk. :gj:
