    Pvc sheet for rack build
I've been looking for a supplier in order to build a new rack for myself. Seeing that most builders charge around $300 for what I want, not including shipping, I wanted to see if I could do it in order to keep my cost down. I finally found one and they quoted me $140 per sheet that's 4' x 8'. I just wanted some info if that's a good price or not. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post prices on here but I really don't want to get screwed over when I'm trying to keep my cost down and didn't know where else to turn.

What thickness sheet is it that you are getting? Also is the sheet the expanded pvc and not solid pvc? I found a supplier in my area that I buy 10mm expanded sheet of 4'x8' for $77 a sheet and they cut to size and deliver for free. So it is just short of 1/2". I have made a few of these and they are great for my hatchling and hold back tubs.

I'm looking at 1/2 inch expanded but every place I looked online says 250 a sheet.

If anyone knows of a good and cheap supplier in Indiana for expanded PVC let me know. I guess I am looking at a lot of the same sites for PVC that want big bucks for a sheet. Currently I use metal hardware cloth but would like to change if possible.

Plastic sheets have a huge mark up the wholesale price is very different than the supplier if you try pricing from a manufacturer of displays it is sometimes a lot cheaper. The thickness makes a difference too the common thickness are less than the odd ones 1/2 seems rare in my area at least but 10 and 16 mm are common.

I have been unable to find anyone supplying 4'x8' sheets of 1/2" expanded PVC in the DFW are who charges under 450.00 a sheet which from everything I can tell is ridiculous. I would love to find a local supplier even if it is 200.00 per sheet I would be happy.

Well I did the searching for Expanded PVC around here and was quoted everything from $200 a sheet to $450 a sheet then I asked my wife and she told me to check the local sign shop. I did and found what they call Sintra (Expanded PVC) for bout $80 a 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch so I would give that a try make sure to talk to the Owner/Manager and let him know what you are looking for:)

Sorry it took so long to post this but I finally found a supplier in Baldwin park. The company name is hillcor. 3 sheets of 1/2" cost me $350 cut to my measurements with tax. Check my other posts for pctures and finished product if you like.
