    Rack system humidity help
I just got my humidity gauge in the mail and hooked it up and let it sit for 30 mins to get an accurate reading. So right now it's reading 45% and from what I've read that's pretty bad? What I have been doing when I notice my balls are going into shed I mist them with a spray bottle. All sheds come off complete. I attached some pictures of my set up. What could I do to improve humidity?

easy change to cypress mulch or cover some holes. my tubs vary from 45-65 on any given day, i see no sings of sickness or harm to their healthy everyone eats, shed, defecates fine.

45% is a bit low but not a massive issue. This would need to be increased for a shed but that is about it. The thing I noticed is what looks like a very large gap between the tub and rack. i have watched a snake as big around as a large mans leg fit under a 1.5 inch gap. I would be concerned about escapes or at least attempts...

Paper actually will decrease humidity at least when it is fresh if you are having issues it may not be the best choice (coco or cyprus holds much more) The easy option with a rack is just humidify the room to 60% and call it a day however.

Thanks for the advice y'all. I might try covering up holes.
With the gap I have shims I put under it. I just took them out for the picture lol. I just may have drilled too many holes.

I also sprayed a water bottle and the humidity went right up. Guess all just have to most every once Ina while.

Just remember too much air flow isn't a massive issue too little can be. Respiratory issues are linked to low ventilation and poor air flow so mistake on the side of too many than too little. (sick building syndrome)
