    2 Calico questions
Is calico to sugar what butter is to lesser?

Can low white females throw high white babies?

    Yes to both.
The amounts of white is random. Like how low pieds can produce high white pieds. And vice versa.

I consider them different. A high quality sugar is different than a high quality calico. A good quality sugar should have a black back and no dots in the alien heads. Sugars are color AND pattern to me :gj:.

A good quality calico should have heavy amounts of neon yellow trim around the "alien heads", with high orange color. They also often have ringers near the tail. I've seen way too many crazy patterns on calicos to say that they have to have a certain pattern. I think they're mostly color, plus the obvious white sides.

Obviously not all of them will follow the rules, but what morph does? Pastel sugars typically have a sexy black back with high blushing in the black. Pastel calicos tend to have the busy patterns, and a lot of "alien heads". I'm not sure if dots are an issue with calico. I guess that's personal preference.

I like both! The crazy oranges and neon yellows on calicos are awesome. The nice black back and reduced pattern of sugars are also awesome :gj:.
