    Incubator
Ok guys and gals... I have a mini fridge that I am turning into an incubator. I have a pretty good plan so far, but there is always room for improvement. Heat tape, rheostat, fan. Any thoughts?

Put 11" flexwatt on the back wall with a fan blowing down from the top. The fan can be controlled by a rheostat but the flexwatt should be controlled by a good thermostat (preferably a proportional thermostat)

Any suggestions for a good wallet friendly thermostat?

Herpstat 1 or 2 and VE-200 are all good choices and are all proportional.

Herpstat intro, Herpstat 1 basic or Herpstat 1.

Cheapest I would go with is a Ranco but only if I had no other choice.

herpstat 1 would be my suggestion as it offers the greatest safety features on the market at the lowest price but if not the 1 the intro which is only 100$ and has more safety features than any in this price point.

I'm actually thinking of getting the Herpstat intro. Has anyone used this one? Any comments on it?

If it's anything like the other herpstats it should be a rock solid investment for an incubator.

So you want quality for cheap?
I don't believe that's possible, when looking for a thermostat you get what you pay for ;)
