    My snake is.lazy!
So i threw in Titans food about 45 min ago. (yes i know it should only be 30 min with live prey, but i always watch very closely.) Anyway I throw it in, Titan is on one side of the tank rat is on the other. 45 min go by and he still is sitting in ambush position but not going after it. Finally i decide to use a tub lid to gently push the rat closer to him and BAM! He strikes. Hes freaking lazy! He doesnt hunt he sits and waits for his food to be close to him. Lol

My baby snakes go after there food. They hunt. Bur not him he just waits for it to eventually come by no matter how long it takes lol.

Any one elses snakes this way?

I do the zombie-dance above my snakes with a hopper mouse and in about 10 seconds it's wrapped up for dinner.

Yup got 1 in my collection that is the same way.
Only snake I have to leave the rat in longer with because she will not go after the rat.

She is also the smallest due to this as I thought she just didn't want to eat and pulled the rat out after 30mins.
I now give her 1hr + and keep an eye on her bin.

All the rest are out for the hunt no issues.

I know what you mean. For 3 weeks i thought he was off feed cuz he never went after it.. So i would take it out, so apparently He just want it hand delivered lol.

Yea actually now that i think about it very rarely do one of mine actually sit and wait. I feed f/t to all except for my pastel whose still a live feeder. She goes after them with a vengence haha. Both my males and both my babies all pound and wrap their f/t like its alive too lol. No ambushing here really :gj:

He lays there coiled in an S ready to strike and just looks at the rat. But never moves. Maybe hes trying to be invisible. Hes silly.
