    Black pastel x cinnie: Defects?
I am sorry if this is a bit of a noob question. Does the black pastel x cinnie pairing have the same defect problems as cinnie x cinnie? I actually dont plan on doing this pairing ever but just was curious. I know some folks have both black pastel and cinnies and so I just wondered if maybe that was a plan of theirs and if the outcome was often the same with kinking and duckbill defects and such... :)

Yup. They still have the same deformities (Duckbills and kinking) as Super Cinnies and Super Blacks.
According to the general census, the rating of deformities are 'lower' than pairings of the same morph.

A friend of mine just did a black pastel cinny pairing and got 3 supers. 2 of the 3 supers were deformed. one had a cleft chin and couldn't feed correctly. And the other was severely fused and kinked.

I guess that eliminates the possibility of incompatible bloodlines then. What I mean is that I had a thought that maybe the majority of deformities among super cinnies could have been linked to siblings even of different generations. I know that line breeding is not a real big deal in reptiles but I was thinking maybe there are some bloodlines that react the way in-breeding in mammals would. Well I guess the fact that black pastel x cinnie does the same thing rules that out entirely. But do some folks consider black pastels and cinnies different lines of the same morph? I think the cinnie has a noticably different appearance than a black pastel so I believe they are different. Oh man I am thinking too much.

Personally, I believe they're 2 completely different morphs that have similarities.
Two morphs that are not branched from the same line.
