Sprained ankle + holding BP?
Hey guys, I have a 3rd degree sprained ankle.
Unfortunately, it's just my 4-year old and I here, so she obviously can't help Momma get the snakes in and out. But for the time this could take to heal, I don't want to go without holding the BPs.
I know there has to be ways to do this safely. I don't like the idea of having to get them, crutch over to the chair and crutch back. Seems unsafe for both of us and stressful for them.
Any ideas to help us out?
Re: Sprained ankle + holding BP?
Maybe set up a kitchen chair or folding chair near your cages so when you get them out to hold them, you can just pivot and sit without the need for a crutch. It might not be the most comfortable, but at least you're not trying to carry a snake and crutch over to the couch at the same time.

I might not remember this correctly, but you're the one that used to have the fear of snakes? especially feeding? If that's correct, I think a chair by the cages is a good starting place unless you have another adult who can help you carry snakes. Then you don't have to worry about falling and hurting yourself or your snake and you still get to hold them and work with them. They don't have to be long sessions either. A good 5-10 min session with each snake is all that's needed.
