Should you ever hear breathing???
I just got a new pastel, was wandering if you should ever hear it breath. It's not really a whistle just sounds like very very VERY subtle inhale and exhale. Anyone??

This is normal in my book. Many times I have heard my male normal breathe like this while he was climbing around on my head.
Re: Should you ever hear breathing???
I agree with the above comments that it is normal unless you see any other red flags around its nostrils or mouth.

I probably do hear it but don't notice, usually when the Hog Island is perched on my head, she sends a strong cold little blast of air right into my eyeball or down my shirt. Surprisingly strong little lungs/nostrils!
I was just about to mention my Boas "breathing all over me".....LOL
