Picky eater... not not eating
I am having issues with my male bp. He is very skiddish and is afraid of anything that moves including mice and or baby rats. Im not sure how old he is, but he weighs 520g. I've only been able to get him to ever eat mice not rats. He will eat a few meals then go on "strike". Before anyone asks i'll tell you that I keep him in a boaphile rack system with heat tape set for a hot spot of 94 degrees and it is 79 degrees on the cold side with humidity at 40-60 %. I am checking temps with an ir temp gun and an accurite thermometer/hygrometer. I have a thermostat hooked up to regulate my temps. I do not handle him or bother in his tub unless i am changing the water. My question is, does anyone have any advice on how to get my bp eating again?
Re: Picky eater... not not eating
Thanks for the relpies... I am offering once a week. He goes on trike for about a month and a half to two months. He has one hide which i keep in the middle of the enclosure. I had two, he defecated inside of one, I dropped it when i was cleaning it and it broke. No stores around me carry the right size hide. He has eaten since only having on hide. Ill lower the temps and see if that provides me with any results.
