    My First Bite!
So I Put Her In Her Feeding Box And When I Do So She Automatically Goes Into A Predator State, I Uncoiled Her, And As I Did So She Must Have Thought I Was A Mouse, I Also Thought About Why She Bit Me Because I Had Her Outside And It Was Chilly So That Could Have Did Something, Well So My Friend Was Also There, And She Was Scared For Me, And All I Did Was Pull Away And Say "Ow", I Booted It Out Into My Hallway And Said "Mom, Dad, Cleo Bit Me!" My Dad Said Come Here Let Me See, I Ran Downstairs And Showed Him, Of Corse I WaS Bleeding, It Didn't Hurt One Bit, But I Learned Something, NEVER EVER Stick You're Hand Into A Ball Pythons Eating Box Thingy...

You can feed in the balls enclosure, no advantage of taking the snake out which can cause extra stress, this could be the reason why you were bit in the first place.

What do you mean by "you booted it into the hallway"? Are you talking about the snake or yourself?

Using a feeding box is why you got bit! Or should I say created a possibility for you to be unlucky.

And yes, you don't need a feed box. In its own tank or tub is fine.

One of the many reasons we say it's not necessary to move a ball python to a separate feeding enclosure. Also, why would you try to uncoil her once she was in this "feeding box"? Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Well now you know it's no big deal. You also know its not a good idea to mess with a snake or put your hands anywhere near one when it's feeding time..

This was what we call a SFE.. Or stupid feeding error..

    1: feeding tongs..
2: feed in its own enclosure..
3: don't touch the snake or put your hands near it during feeding time or when it's in feeding mode/coiled unless it strikes and wraps its food in a dangerous place like in it's water bowl. Then you can gently pick up and move the snake over while it's holding the rodent.
