    Love is in the air
Mine are getting started off early, or late...these darn things don't seem to have a real season anymore like they did when I used to breed them...20 years ago. I lost my snakes when my furnace went out while I was away, I didn't feel like getting more at the time because I didn't lose breeders, I lost my pets and nothing could replace them.

Here's the first pairings of my second time around at breeding ball pythons. The snakes look a bit different from the "high yellow" (bright normals) I used to breed, but they're still pets.

Darth Jackass (dinker) X Marilyn (pastel yb)

    Mickey X Dorothy (pieds)

I'm planning on breeding each of these males to two females this season. The normal female won't be ready to breed again until next year--she'll be put in with Darth. I have a het pied who isn't interested at all right now, I'll be trying her later on with Mickey.

And now, I have to quit putting off building that incubator....:tears:

Nice! Hope you have a bunch of littles ones from the pairings.

    Thanks!

I'm hoping to get at least a few from each male. Darthie because he's such a weird snake that I want to see if he passes it on and Mickey because I've promised one of my friends a piebald if I can get it.

The high yellow normal looks identical to my pastel girl, i would be shocked if that is "just" a normal dinker.

The dark male is the dinker. He's one of those snakes no one can quite figure out what he is. The yellow female is a pastel yb.

    This is the dinker--

I'm hoping that his offspring will tell me if he's just an atypical specimen of a common morph, a weird normal, or something new.

He looks like a black pastel to me.

He does some to me, too. When you see him though, the color is wrong.

This picture comes as close as I've seen to catching his true shading.

And now Minne the Mean Snake joins the party.

Just put my first pair of the season together myself! Probably putting more together as I continue cleaning today. Congrats on yours!
