Do you think they'll be okay?
Hey guys, got a goofy question.
So my furnace needs a repair, a condensation pump went out. Can't afford it at the moment though, so we just dump the "tank" below it every day or so. Keeps the furnace going that way.

I will be out of town for work for the weekend. I will be leaving Friday about 2 or so, and returning Sunday probably about the same. If I dump it before I leave, they'll have at least 24 hours--possibly more cause it's supposed to be much warmer this weekend than it has been this week.

Now if I forget to dump it at night, the house is around 60 degrees by morning, but that's with it 32 degrees outside. Obviously the sun would heat up the house a bit during the day.

So, worst case scenario, it would probably stop Saturday evening. But it's only supposed to get into the 50's outside. They have their UTH's of course...should I try to track down a last minute "sitter"? That would involve moving their ENTIRE tank, etc to another house for a weekend (thinking stress on them!) or do you think it's worth chancing with those kind of temps? Daytime is supposed to get to about 75, which in my house translates to daytime air temps around 80 or so.

Which way would you go on this?

If it makes a diff, they ate yesterday. I'm concerned that moving the tank set up could be stressful enough for a regurg.

PS if they move for the weekend, it'd be tonight.:tears:

Nevermind. It's worked out...don't you love how if you post a question, before anyone can answer in a horribly short time, things suddenly work out? Thanks anyhow.
