    Cypress mulch
    Does anyone use cypress mulch? I am thinking of using it just want to hear a few opinions on it before i do. And what brand do you use

    Alot of people use it succcessfully. It holds humidity well!

    I only use it for my snakes. It works great and I am a huge fan. I cant remember what brand but i will get that info for you when i get home later today.

    I love cypress mulch, I use it for my adults/sub-adults. I get mine from Reptile Basics its a brand called Kambark.

    I use it and I'm very happy with it. I like the look better than say using newspaper or paper towels. It holds humidity really well.

    How do you feel about going to home depot or lowes and buying what they have? is it a good idea or should i not risk it

    You have to be careful make sure that it is Grade A pure cypress without any additives. You don't want there to be other woods or dyes mixed in. Also be prepared for there to be little bugs in it.

    It's fine I have been using Cypress Blend for YEARS and never had any issues (blend mean there are other type of wood as well) the only thing make sure you pick the one without any dies.

    I went to a local hardware store today and found no float grade a mulch. No dyes or additives. The only thing i dont like is the size its got some big peices in it. and one of the bag had a white film ontop of the mulch just on the top layer. I plan on spraying the mulch with reptile releif to help control the bug problem

    I just use Forest Bed. That stuff is awesome. I don't have to worry about bugs, dyes, or anything else with it. I buy the big bag and it fills my boas enclosure once and my BP enclosure twice. With one bag. It's great stuff.
