Distinguishing a het pied from a normal?

I was told by the breeder that I purchased my ball from how to tell if mine was a het pied or normal. The reason she told me this is because she told me she sold some of them as normals but they were born at different times so I want to figure it out to know his age. She told me something about looking at the stomach and a pattern but I was having trouble figuring out exactly what she was talking about. Could someone please explain it to me? Any pictures of what to look for?

Het pieds sometimes show "markers" on their stomachs. This is usually seen as what's called "rail-road tracks." It's essentially black along either side of the belly scales running from the tail up along the body. I'm on my phone now or I'd post a pic.

However, a het isn't truly a het until its proved out by breeding. 100% hets sometimes show no markers and sometimes normals show something that sort of looks like markers.

Ok thanks next time he roaming around outside his hide I will look. He is a pet so I am not concerned with him being a het but with his age. But thats interesting info none the less. Thanks.

I think I understand what you are talking about on the patterns. Here are some pictures of Odin. Let me know if you think he has these marks because I am not completely sure of exactly what I am looking for.

Again I understand that he isn't officially a het until proven but I would like to know whether or not he has the patterns because it will help me with his age based on what the breeder told me. Thanks

Now keep in mind that while many breeder will hold back animal with those markers (some more define than others) markers are not 100% reliable, in this case this animal is a DH Albino Pied with very strong markers however I have a large female het pied (proven) with no markers, and I have also had normal with similar markers.

In the end do not buy an animal for it's markers but do so because you trust the breeder.

So by looking at yours it appears my snake has those markings? Just not as prominent? The reason I am asking is because the breeder told me that if he did he was born after the 4th of July if not he was born on mothers day. And I was just trying to figure out how old he was. Actually when I bought him I didn't really consider breeder rep. I probably should have even though I won't be breeding him. Thanks ya'll for the help.
