Requesting contributions ...

I have been working on producing a software for tracking herp-related records that I believe will be better than those currently available. I plan to have both free and paid versions available. It's not ready for prime time yet nor for any of you to see, but I would like to ask a few of you to contribute something to it.

Specifically, what I am looking for is good photos of various herps -- not just ball pythons. Other snakes, lizards, turtles, amphibians, pattern close-ups, etc. are wanted too, but I need it to be a good photo suitable for use in a professional manner and it MUST be one that you legally can give me permission to use. I reserve the right to select which photos to use and which not to use.

In exchange, I will have a copyright statement giving you credit immediately below your picture. If you wish, I will also link that to your email address or web site address. Additionally, if you have a herp-related business site I will add you to the contacts distributed with the program by default.

All my best pictures of Caesar (and Shaggy) are in my photo gallery, here. Feel free to use any of those, if they are what you're looking for. I've got high-rez versions of most of them, if you need something more dense than a standard web-image. I'd be happy for you to use any of my pics...just let me know.

Also, if you want something different, I have the pics of the Komodo dragon and Gaboon Viper in my Misc gallery. They're not my animals, but I took the pics, so I guess they're mine to publish if I wish. :D

Lindsay, yes I would like you to send me the full-sized version of that, if you don't mind. I can't guarantee I'll use it (or any other particular photo) until I see how my screens are going to lay out and such, but it is a good open-mouth pose.

When I've found the pics to use, I'll contact each person's that will appear and ask if/what you want your credit link to be.
