Snake Venom - Source of Potential Cancer Cure?

I hope that they find a cure for cancer in snake venom, as maybe it would cause them to be persecuted a little less! Is that wishful thinking?

I think it's wishful thinking.

Imagine if Pharmaceutical companies decided to 'corner the market' on it to make a buck. Now you're talking about snake venom becoming a 'regulated' product. Meaning, regulations for snake ownership.

It would be a mixed blessing. But right now they make so much money off of cancer patients from a Pharmacy standpoint, I can't see anything but greed happening if snake venom was found to be a cure. Snake farms. I can see it now.
