    Rare but happy ending!
Here is an update on this older thread.
    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ighlight=freeb

I received a call tonight from the homeowner and they caught the snake! What makes this story really cool is the way she has handled it all. She came to this site looking for help and everyone was offering help and suggestions. She took our advice, and I spoke to her on the phone and told her that it is pretty harmless and she said she would keep a watch for it. Here is where I think the story takes a great turn, she went and told all of her neighbors about the snake and told them not to kill it! How cool! So she heard her dog barking and walked out side and a neighbor found it crossing the road. Long story short they caught it and she called, so I will be picking it up tomorrow. I will post pictures tomorrow. It just shows that there are still good people left in the world.

Bah! The person who made that post said they would call me when they caught it! Darn! I live in Houston and offered to head down there and pick it up.

That is really cool, one of the first memories I had with a snake was my father killing a king snake on reaction in our front yard. It is nice that the neighbors were willing to spare the snake rather than react adversely.

Well I made the drive down and picked up the little snake, and it was a really great experience! I met with the homeowner and we talked about how they caught it and she wanted to see it out of the container and she had a friend come over as well as her next door neighbor. By the time I left they had all touched the snake and I think got a better understanding of how shy that the snake really was. It never came out of the ball shape, I tried gently to unball, but I could feel the snake resist so I stopped. I thanked them for making sure that the snake was taken care of and that I would make sure it had a great home now. She was very thankful for the site and how everyone tried to help her and how we really cared about the animals! So to everyone that was part of the original post I thank you as well.

What made me feel even better is she wants updates and pictures sent to her.:)

Well here are the only pics I could get before I put it into QT for a week or so. I did weigh it and I could not belive the weight it was 2230g. I know it's just a normal, but this one has a story and character behind it. I am going to name it Scar, because I did see a little scar across it's body. Hope y'all enjoy!
