    My daughters poor friends......
Lol, had to laugh tonight. My daughter had my phone and was texting a friend. She was telling her about our new snake. So her friend says send me a picture. So my daughter, sends her the picture of our new Enchi eating. Hahahaha, well funny to us. I don't think most 8 year olds are used to seeing a snake choke off a rat pink..... I guess her friends will have to get used to it, lol. We were cleaning rats tonight and she had some pups she was holding, and plopped them back in the cage and said this one is Katy, (one we are going to keep and grow up) and these ones are feeders. I'm glad she understands about her snakes needing to eat. But her poor friends, lol.......

Hahaha! Its pretty awesome that your daughter is into it too! And understands that you cant feed them dog food. I have adults ask me if I can give them something other than dead animals to eat.... Im just like . . . Huh?? They are totally serious when they ask me that. I cant wait for Andi to be big enough to start handling some snakes! She will be my little helper. :D

Yeah, she makes me proud with her snakes! It's really fun when we take them to school and she holds them and teaches her classmates about them. You just wait! She has even got a couple of her friends to not be afraid of them anymore. Lol, can't have a sleep over at the "snake" house if you are afraid....

I think it's awesome that she's so understanding about their feeding requirements. It makes me sad when I see kids who honestly think that meat just magically appears in the grocery store.

we just had a friends 3 year old daughter visit on feeding day... I was worried at first but the only thing that upset her was that she couldn't hold the pretty snake any more after he had eaten his pup...

I tooked some balls to my sonīs class, and the kids went crazy, they just loved them. All of them wanting to touch and hold, and making really interesting questions for eight year old kids. Until the principal came to the class, old woman with old thinking...too bad, the teacherenjoyed it too and I left for them two perfect sheds of my big BCC.

That is cool. Raising and breeding snakes have brought my kids and I closer together. We all work in our facility together and take turns feeding and cleaning in teams. Reptiles have really been a blessing. With that being said, my kids' friends have now become avid reptile enthusiasts.
