I read somewhere that you should use newsprint- just the white paper that newspaper is printed on. Do you guys do this, or do you just use regular newspaper that's been printed on?

For those who use newspaper for substrate:
I understand there is a possibility that the colored inks may be toxic, so I try to avoid those altogether, but otherwise I just use normal newspaper.

Avoid the "slick" pages that are color saturated. Outside of that, I wouldn't worry too much. We've used regular newspaper for years with a zero-incident record.

I stick with Bark. I want them to have more of a natural environment :)

From everything that I have read, if you use newspaper it should only be news print & not anything with ink on it.

Also, with the bark, for Balls it is suggested to only use Aspen bark. The other barks can cause problems for your Ball's skin.

I personally use the reptile-rug & reptile-carpet. They both work really nicely & my new little buddy seems to enjoy them a great deal!
