3'' or 4'' Flexwatt for 41 qt tub racks

So I have all the wood cut sizes I need to build my 41 qt rack.. All I need to do is buy the flexwatt and a T-stat for it, but I can't find anyone who has some 4'' flexwatt available... I've tried beanfarm, reptilebasics, and bigappleherp, yet nobody has 4'' available...

Would it be okay to use 3'' for my rack system? Does wattage matter other than the slight increase in my electric bill? I need to build this rack before next weekend :P:oops::D.....

Is the rack a length ways or a sideways sliding rack? Is it like this? Or opposite?

I would use 11". Just cut pieces about the size of 1/3 or 1/4 the tub. You'll have to have individual wiring for each shelf but you can just use a a power strip.

My cb 70 from rich at RBI uses the 4 inch and it works perfectly. You can do what Mike said and use 11 in and a power strip or parallel run it. Or use 2 strips of 4 or 3 in. I tried 3,4, and 11 inch and I love the 4 in the best.

Do you guys think 11'' BACK heat would be better than to do belly? I thought you couldn't cut the flexwatt in any other section other than the spaces given, which would be 1 foot long?

I can't give any info on back heat since I never used it(besides on a neo gtp tub), but I do believe you need to have a warmer room for it to work properly(around 83+ I believe). Flex watt can be cut between any line. Between the black lines there is just clear plastic you can cut in those without any problems.

I personally dont like back heat.

No you can cut it in the clear spaces between the black parts. The black parts are the heating element, not the clear spaces.

The 11'' idea sounds good. It would probably be cheaper, but a bit more of a hassle since I'll have to wire each shelf.

Is there any other reason why I should avoid using the 3''?

Yeah, it doesn't provide nearly the hot spot that females like and won't add any ambient temperature to speak of.
11X12 can be cut down to 10 inch so it covers a 1/3 of the tub and still provides plenty of heat and a decent sized hot spot to lay on.
