    Feeding thoughts
My girl's on jumbo rats right now, and they leave a noticeable lump for a day or two after feeding (they're a touch bigger than her biggest point, but the large rats were just too small). She eats on the 15th and 30th of every month. Should I back down the feeding to longer periods? I know that people have said that they back down to 2 weeks once they're boas are adults, but do they back down even more when most of their growing is over? I can't imagine she has much more growing to do, but again, not knowing anything about her age or breeding makes it more of a guessing game.

Here's a picture of her just for size reference:

Any way to try and guess her age as well?

For an adult that size a good rule to follow is to only feed after they poo and after they shed. This usually boils down to about twice a month or once every 3 weeks depending. I also don't feed mine very fat rats. I choose the large rats that look more lean than the others when I am euthanizing to freeze for her since boas can't process fats like pythons can.

I've been in a money crunch lately but I'm planning on ordering a box of quail so I can supplement her with birds as well. They are more lean and boas eat a lot of birds in the wild so I figure it's a healthier way to go.
