Possible digestive problems :(
Hello there! I have a lovely little ball python female named Andromeda who is almost a year old and about 2 feet and 4 inches (I don't have a scale yet, I know shame on me, but I refuse to buy one for 60$ when I know they can be found for around 20$).
I am a bit worried about my little lady, she hasn't pooped in almost a month! She isn't blue anywhere so I know she isn't going into shed soon and yesterday I fed her her 4th meal since her last poop. I feed her one large mouse (pre killed of course) every 6 days as it is about the same size as her largest section. I cleaned her tank completely about a week ago and didn't see any hidden poops and normally I can smell them as soon as she does.
I have read that it is dangerous to try and induce a poop, but normally she poops every 2 feeds or roughly every 2 weeks. I don't see any swelling around her vent either to suggest she is gonna poop.
I love my snake dearly and I would hate for her to be in any kind of pain from being backed up. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Re: Possible digestive problems :(
I would not worry about her unless she starts to get a suasage butt. One of my brood will poop every other week after feeding but most wait a few weeks to a month. My wifes guy holds it untill he is gunna burst and then smears it everywhere. Most snakes poop when they want to so you should be fine
