    hi i have got ball pythons now i have just got a babey commern boa and shes is allways biting is this a commern thing for them.can any one help pls

    Most will calm down with a bit of effort. The amount of blood you'll lose in the process varies from snake to snake. :D

    How is your setup for her, what are the temps and how are you measuring them, etc? She could be defensive since she's still settling in: I'd leave her be for a week, get her feeding, and once she's more established I'd start with short handling sessions. My advice (having a grumpy Hog BCI and Argie myself) is to handle with confidence (don't hesitate to pick her up when she's in her tub/tank) and don't be nervous to get bit as she'll pick up on it. If she starts hissing/striking/biting etc don't put her away until she's calmed down: if she knows that that behavior will allow her to be put away faster she'll continue to act accordingly.

    she is in a 3ft viv the temp is 31c on basking side an 27 on cool side
