Update: Bad news & good news

So to update on my clutch (see thread from yesterday), I have both good & bad news... the bad news is that 5 of the 8 eggs ended up being goners. :( Good news? ALL THREE of the survivors are spiders!! :gj:

I was able to pry off some of the bad eggs, just enough to give these little ones an "escape route." They're wiggling and not super gooey, so hopefully will make a full appearance over the weekend... in the meantime, here's a sneak peek:

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost most of your clutch but as for the three that survived, congrats! I'm the kind of guy that always tries to find the silver lining in any gray cloud that comes my way. Good luck with the remaining three.

Thanks to both of you! Like gsarchie said, it's always good to look for the silver lining - and my odds on the surviving eggs literally couldn't have been any better. ;) And I know spiders aren't anything "fancy" or expensive, but they are my first of this morph!

Thanks, DrDoolittle! They're still chillin' in the eggs, but I'll definitely post pics (on the photo forum) once they emerge... from what I can tell, they have some very nice patterns on them. :)
