Geez louise! You'd think this was Attica or something, as many escape attempts as we have. The girls were watching a movie in the dark in the living room with their rats (in their rolling balls). Jess had taken the top off Little Missy's ball and set it on the floor hole-down so Missy couldn't roll it, then put a book on top (of a round object???) to weight it down. Apparently neither geometry nor physics is really a strong point for Jess.

Anyway, Missy escaped and a frantic search ensued when the girls discovered her missing. Adrian was the one who actually found Missy -- she'd gone back to Jess' room and was trying to get to her cage. What a smart rat! No harm, no foul, but hopefully they learn a lesson from this.

Very smart rat! Ever heard of a ball trying to get back INTO its cage? LOL I'm glad no harm came of her little misadventure! :)

Thanks, I am too. I did think it was great she was trying to get back into her home. :) I guess she was happy cuz it was freshly cleaned!

    It's kind of a shame...
Well, it should be comforting to know that if you'd had a problem finding it, you have some "friends" there who are very adept at tracking down rats...

    ;)

Yes, several of them! :) The kids were pretty determined to find her before the cats did, and I think that may have been on Missy's mind as well.

Be glad she didn't find her way into a ball python cage or something

Yes, I'm definitely glad, because she is way too big to be food for my crew at this point.

Wrong thread, i think, but I have an update for this one: apparently a neighbor kid opened our gate while Buddha was playing in the backyard, so the girls had to go out and catch him, and in the process they let Jezebel out as well, so now we have to wait for her to come home. Sheesh.

Man Marla you need to like weld steel plates on all your animals cages/gates/balls/etc... so they stop escaping :)

Glad you found everyone, and I hope the other dog comes home soon.
