    Backwall heat tape?
Was looking at the AP T8 cages, there's an option for 3' of 11" backwall heat tape, can anyone enlighten me? Is it just flexwatt stuck to the back instead of the belly? Thanks.

Back heat is just one long strip of heat tape along the back. I think it's only 20 bucks more for belt heat. I would just get the belly heat. It is just easier to control your temperatures.and better for the snake

It's not necessarily better for the snakes.
Snakes thrive on both belly and back heat.

It really depends on your room temps. Back heat warms up the air, while belly heat creates a hot spot.
For a colder room, back heat is bad because it will get hotter trying to warm up the cold air. Belly heat is more efficient and safer in a cooler room.

Where are you seeing this? Animal plastics site doesn't show this option.

Ok this is weird, it looks like there are two versions of the same site, animalplastics.com and apcages.com, apcages shows backwall heat on the T8 and animalplastics shows belly heat on the T8. Not sure what to make of that.
