    Killin but not eating
I've had my BP 100g hatchling kill something and not eat it the last 2 feedings. Last week I think it was just because we opened the tub to check on her eating too early and scared her so she left it. This week she killed and lost interest but ate another right after with no hesitation. I don't think this is a huge deal as she is pretty aggressive eater, but was just wondering if anybody else gets this?

Yes, they often do this if they're disturbed after the kill. (Doesn't matter whether it's live or FT--the period between constricting and swallowing the prey is a very touchy time).

I have had one of my picky feeder males do this once or twice. My bee did it yesterday, but that's because she didn't want the asf I offered her, she wanted a rat.

I've never had a problem with my snakes spitting anything out- and I watch them while they eat :confusd: Dunno, guess they're used to it or I'm just lucky they don't care

That happens here once in a while. The rat goes into a baggie and into the freezer and they get it next meal. Most of mine will eat either f/t or live so I'm lucky in that sense.

Yesterday I thought my boa was going to do that. My BP never has any problem eating where as my boa is the shy one. She takes absolutely forever to eat. And to make madders worse the pet shop didn't have and appropriate sized rats for her so it was 2 mice and about an hour or so later.

I had one bite, constrict, and get startled and let go before the rat was even dead..... Luckily she calmed down after a few minutes and got the rat again, killing it.
