Is something wrong?

I bought two ball pythons (petsmart) in the beginning of july. They told me that they were born at the same time (siblings). #1 had a slightly bigger head than #2 in the very beginning. I feed them the same days (once a week), they havent refused a meal, there in separate enclosures that are exactly the same. #1 has only shed once and #2 has shed twice. I'm confused because #1 has noticeably grown thicker while #2 looks no different then when I bought them besides growing in length (there both the same length). When #1 shed he she'd in two pieces, #2 sheds all patchy. After #2 first shed I misted water in his cage ever day thinking that would help but his second time shedding he did the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Or do they just grow at different rates? - thanks in advance :)

All snakes grow at different rates. Even clutchmates.
I had a snake that was half the size of her sister at 2 months old.
Both ate the same meals weekly.

What is your humidity % of both enclosures? It just sounds like you need to increase your humidity. You can do a few things.
Here are some options:
1) Cover 90% of their enclosure lid with a damp towel, plexiglass, or tin foil (I'm assuming you're using a glass tank)
2) use a larger water dish (larger dish has a larger surface area to allow greater evaporation)
3) move water dish to the hot side of the enclosure
4) Use a different substrate such as coco husk or cypress mulch (these hold humidity really well)
5) make a humid hide (a Tupperware container with a hole in the lid to allow the snake to go in and out. And place a damp towel or damp moss inside. The snake has a choice to use the hide whenever it wants humidity)

Thank you! I switched to the coco husk and added some plants and got a humidity thing to show me how humid it is in there. I'm going to go back and get some of the moss.
