    Tub size?
Hey all, I built a snake rack a while ago, with the tubs being 28qt sterilite. Is that big enough for adult balls? I'm having to fix the shelving anyway, so if it's not I can get bigger tubs, but was hoping the 28qt's would be good. Thanks

I have my adults in 34 qts, but 41 qt seems to be the norm for adults. I use 28s for my little ones/subadults so I wouldn't use them for adults personally.

28qt is fine for adults under 2000 grams. Most adult males and some adult females can live comfortably in a 28 qt. It's just the big girls that usually need a 41 qt tub.

Here is my tub to weight ratio:
    6 qt - hatchlings
    15 qt - 500 grams and less
    28/32 qt - 2000 grams and less
    41 qt - 2000 grams and more

However, I have put animals smaller than 500 grams into a 28 qt fine.

Thanks for the replies guys. I currently have my hatchlings in 15qt. I only have 1 adult and she's in a reptile aquarium. I built the rack to hold 28 qt tubs though (she is about 1500g). When I fix up my rack ill probably just switch some of the 28's with 41's for some big girls.

I have a couple of females around 2000 grams and a male that is about 1500 grams. I felt that the 28qt tub was too small. I have hides in all my tubs. Combine that with water bowls, it doesn't give them much of a hot spot or even room to stretch out. I upgraded to 41qt CB-70 tubs and its perfect. That's what I would go with.
