    Breeding and Ovulation
my female normal ball python is now in ovulation (she also looks deep in shed), is there a certain stage/window where you have to breed them, e.g. do you have to breed them before or after ovulation or is that irrelevant?

Ovulation occurs when follicles become fertilized. If your female is ovulating, that means you've already bred her and now she is becoming gravid. So either you're mistaking her ovulation for something else or you've already gotten the job done.
