    Housing females together
I am looking at picking up a Craigslist group of females and their setup. Currently they are in a 18x18x24 exo terra. Is this acceptable to start? There are 3 females that are 1.5 years old. The person wants $150 for the whole setup (magnetic shelf, water bowl, hides, plants, vines, background) and all 3 geckos, which are apparently chocolate harlequins.

Any thoughts/tips would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I've seen many people do it and I currently keep 2 females in a 18X18X24 Exo-Terra. So far they have been doing well. I'd highly recommend keeping an extra setup, such as a simple tub enclosure in case of a fight. It does and will happen at the most inconvenient time. If you can be prepared for it your animals will benefit from it greatly. The biggest things to keep in mind are to provide a feeding station for each female as well as numerous hides so they can get away when they need "their time."

I paid $100 for my enclosure with a light, add another $50 for three females and it sounds like a good deal as long as you like their traits.

Will be my first experience with cresties, so I'm looking forward to it.

I'll see how they do to start, but I do have another 20gal long I could flip and convert into another enclosure.

they are fairly easy to keep together, just keep an eye out for violence and that both are eating and you will be good to go

    Sounds good!

Picking them up Saturday after CRBE. Grabbing some cleaning products, some CGD and some feeders for my BP and I should be good to go! Who knows, I might buy a little boa if the price is right :)
