    Saving your deceased snake's skin?
Hmm. I know I would definitley do a dissection and save my snake's skin if it died. Especially with all the colourful morphs, you could make boots and plaques and everything the humane way...would you?:O:confusd:

Bps really arent big enough to make anything outta their skin. At least they wouldnt be big enough to make a pair of shoes in my size lol. Instead of skinning Id rather just have them stuffed or something.

Cool! yeah...well I wonder if you could have a shoemaker cut it to replace the leather on a pair of high heels..just imagining lemonblast high heels..yummy!

Wouldn't taxidermizing a snake be kinda hard...?

We have a guy in Houston that buys dead snakes, or skins for doing "art".

Maybe a BP book mark or charm? Seems like there would be enough from a juvie and more than enough from an adult to make some small safe keep.

Even using the skin to border a photo frame with the picture of the snake in it would be neat.

I've skinned a few deceased wild snakes before, and I am seriously considering doing it to Ryn, my normal that just passed. I'm getting a tattoo of her markings, and seeing as I have no real "ceremonial" place to bury her, I'm going to skin her and keep it. Plenty of salt and some time later and its pretty well preserved. The first milksnake I did was about 11-12 years ago, and its still in prefect condition. It isn't hard, you just have to figure out where the inside edge of the skin membrane is, and use a fish filet knife to carefully remove it from the muscles and such.

I'm not sure if anybody could do much with a skin cause they are so small - but now I want a pair of Piebald stilettos..

I'll take a black pastel book mark, and a albino wallet, and a pied phone case.

I have definitely thought about it too. I was recently looking into leather working, but limited in space and money. I would definitely preserve a skin for later use.
