HELPP !!! BP's jaw stuck biting itself??
Hey all, I went to go look at my hatchling mojave today to check on her and I see her biting the mid section of her body. She was stuck and could not get her teeth out of herself? I then massaged the back of her jaw and applied very little pressure, and was able to unhook her teeth(no i did not pull away, i pushed her head forward to make sure i didnt pull any teeth out) After, she didnt close her jaw at first but then slowly began to try to close it, but it seems to still be crooked. I am unsure why she would do this? I have her in her hide warming up now. has this happened to anyone??

She should be fine, let her rest but watch for if it stays uneven or shows signs of swelling. Then you might need a vet visit.

okay thanks, i know how sensitive their mouths are so i was worried. How long should I wait before I take her to the vet ? Also, I cant afford for her not to be eating, she is a hatchling and doesn't have much size i dont want her to not be able to eat anymore.

My boa did this, I just got a cup with a little bit of water, and slowly poured a tiny bit on the place where she was biting and she eventually unhooked herself. I had no need for a vet visit or any medications.
