Does it matter what the rat looks like?
If I am breeding feeder rats, does it matter to my BP what they look like? Dumbo, Rex, Himalayan, etc.. If not, I want to have fun making beautiful rats during the process and holding back a few or sell the coolest looking ones as pets.

Or would it be better to breed hooded and other basic colors like that?

    Thanks in advance,
    SC

I only have one snake that is picky about how her rat looks (she likes the white or lighter colored) while the rest eat anything!

I've seen no difference in my snakes eating different types of rats. In fact, my snakes will eat f/t or live, ASFs, rats, or mice.

yeah, I'll agree with Missriss. My one male, the only one I've noticed, won't go for darker rats. just hates it, so, maybe alternate colours to see if any of them don't prefer one over the other.
