first BP bite.... took 10 years but Im a club member.
So as others have posted before(i wont post the bloody mess of my injury  ) but this came as a complete shock. my 10yr old male who literally is dog tame, or so i thought, tagged me. I must have scared the crap out of him because it was as i opened his tub. This is only the second snake I have ever been bitten by, EVER. and I worked of a breeder for 3 years and there were upwards of 300 adult snakes of all types that he had. GTPs, ABETBs, redtails, etc. the other snake that tagged me was a rosy boa and it was all my fault. I waved my hand trying to scare it back into its tub while I was feeding other snakes. :weirdface obviously not my best idea.

so anyway right after he did it i close his tub for 30 seconds and just pick him up casually as i always do like nothing happened. just really really random. kind of a useless post but figured i would share.

sad part was it wasnt my super snappy mojave. he tries to tag me every time i look at his tub these days. the one that got me never tried, or even hissed or anything. hell i put my finger in his mouth before to get bedding out and he was pretty calm about it. ohh well it happens to us all at some point.

    Welcome to the club! =)

I'm amazed that you have been in the hobby for 10 years and have only been bit once before, I guess that is just the outcome of good handling and some good luck.

I think most of it was just reading the animals well. once you work with the same ones day in day out, you learn body language fast. that and when they are mainly tree pythons and boas you are on high guard, learn to move fast, and have lots and lots of dumb luck.
