    Creature of the night
    Saw this guy on the driveway tonight. Thought I would share. I think it's a Wolf Spider but if someone knows otherwise please feel free to speak up. I am no expert nor lover of arachnids for that matter.

    Im no expert but i would call that a wolf spider too lol :gj:

    Cool looking spider. I dont have any urge to handle them but arachnids are very fun to watch.

    Amazing photographs!

    Do you have a pretty big zoom on your camera, or were you actually brave enough to get that close ?

    Actually this was shot with an old Cannon A70 which has a closeup mode, so the end of the lense was about 5 inches from the spider. Not a great camera but it captures pretty good detail in that mode. I cropped the photos and zoomed in with photoshop. I hate spiders. So trust me when I say if it had moved while my hand was that close, the neighbors would have heard me scream like a little girl.

    Beautiful pictures. But no, I don't like spiders. You wouldn't have caught me that close to it. Can't those wolf spiders jump quite the distance?
