    Gophers or Bulls ??
I'm Thinking about expending my collection for another colubrid specie. I was thinking or Asian beauty Snakes or American Gophers or Bull snakes.

So I have couple questions about Gophers and bulls:

    With ones have better temperament???

Are husbandry are similar and if not what are differences???

With One have bigger Availability of cool morphs???

And of course feel free to post pictures of Your Animals here :gj::gj::gj:

    All the same ;)

Temperament wise remember that those are snakes that you will need to work with on a regular basis, while I do not handle my ball pythons (aside from maintenance_ I do spend time handling my Bulls not only so they remain handleable but also because they are fun to handle.

Keep in mind that even if laid back they still remain impressive when they try to bluff.

I only handle mine when cleaning(which is at least once a week, sometimes twice, with their crazy fast metabolism). I get a real kick out of their attitudes, which is 95% bluff, and have only lost blood a couple times in the 11 months I've been working with these serpents. I'll have to get some updated pictures sometime but here are my 2.2 sayi taken not too long ago. You can't go wrong with pituophis, however you decide!

I just got my little albino white-sided (snow) bull a little bit ago and he's a really cool guy, a July '12 baby too:

Bulls are my fave out of the ones you listed.

Rafal, you can get some awesome pit colors without going to morphs.

Take a look at pituophis lineaticollis. Awesome light greenish yellow with leopard spots. Get big, have huge clutches and are bulletproof. My big male is pushing 7 feet and is stunning.

However if you go the morph route:

If you check out Jonel Lopez's site - Selective Propagations - you can see some killer morphs that he's produces. IMHO, Jonel produces some of the nicest pits (and takes some awesome pics to boot).

Jason Nelson of Envy Reptiles specializes in gopher and bull morphs and has a seemingly infinite variety.

Then there is John Cherry who specializes in locality pits and morphs. John will gladly talk to you all day about them.

All three of these guys are top notch guys who produce top notch animals. Browse the sites, check out the morph and see what grabs you.

I currently have some red phase northern pines, the linis, a couple locality deserticola, some kingsville reds, some dwarf colorado locality bulls, black pines, deppei jani and my favorites - ruthveni (louisiana). If you'd like some pics of any of them, shoot me a PM.

Jonel is who I got my bull from and I would highly recommend him: he was more then helpful through the transaction, shipped fast, and had great communication.
