Twisted umbilical cord in egg 911
I notice something wasn't right with my super so I pulled him out and he had a twisted umbilical cord. I took him and everything along with him out of the egg straightened it out and put him in a container with incubator temperature water wrapped in a paer towel. Is that correct anyother suggestions?

If you managed to untangle him and placed him in a deli cup (to restrain his movement) and back in the incubator that's all you can do at this point.

If withing the next 24 to 48 hours the yolk is not absorbed you may still have to cut the egg sac off and proceed to either feed the yolk using a syringe or assist feed an appropriate size prey to this hatchling.

He's already out of the sac it's the only way I could untangle. So I should feed the yolk to him using a syringe now?

YOu can feed the yolk right away or wait a day or two for him to regain strength and assist feed him.

Im a little tired right now but it sounds like there is a miscomunication and misinterpretation between the actual yolk sac and the albumin in the egg. IDK
He cant be out of the yolk sac cause its attatched to him, he can however be out of the egg/albumin. Hope I'm reading this right. Good Luck

Justin Kobylka did a great video on how to fix this. You could also send him a PM or hit him up on Facebook, or email. He has always gotten back to me in no time and answered every question I have ever asked him.
