Hurricanes are a pain in the A$$
On August 29 2006, my family and I evacuated Slidell, La for Hurricane Katrina, now exactly 6 years later a Category 1 Hurricane Named Issac hit Slidell early last night and is still going strong.
Its currently storming hard in Slidell but luckily still no floods in my neighborhood. About a mile from where I live there's flooding pretty bad and a good amount of trees fell over.
My snakes are fine without power because it's like 85-90 degrees in this house lol.
Any BP members going what I'm going through?
I'll be posting pics of the aftermath hopefully by tomorrow!
Please keep La, Ms and Fl in your prayers!

That sucks. Southeast La got hit with 8-9ft of water.

Some of my family farther south lost power, and there were some down trees but all in all it was kind of pathetic. I was hoping for some much more intense weather to justify a hurricane party. We just didn't feel right doing it when there were just a bunch of "scary" whitish gray clouds and and "horrible" gusts of maybe 15-30 mph. Lol. Nothing like we prepared for. But of course, it seems like every time I actually prepare thoroughly, they change course. :/ Not that I'm complaining...but I'm fond of Tropical Storms. While they can cause damage, they are also pretty to see. Lots of thunder, lightning, and heavy rain and wind.
Haha I'm saying!

Haha yea I knew that lol. I heard St. Bernard got it bad. And my friend is also in BR

So, in Arizona, we typically don't have basements? And my friend who lives in the Midwest is horrified: "But where do you go during tornado warnings?" Well, see, we just don't get a lot of tornados in Arizona. "But... but where do you go during tornado warnings?" No, see, we just don't get them. Practically at all... she just can't process that.
