    First Breeder colony
    Hey guys, I just picked up done new editions to my collection. Now I have 3 younger female hoodeds, a female albino and beige hooded(pregnant) and a young black male + older hooded male. Nice little setup for now. My hoodeds and albino girls are a tad bit to young to breed just yet. But hopefully I can get plenty of production to support my "habits" (;

    Any tips comments or questions about my 2.5 colony would be appreciated :p

    Just keep them all well feed and hydrated and prepare for a lot of little ones to be running around. Do you have any grow out tubs ready to go? Also you may want to rotate your females around, you want to give them a few weeks off before you breed them again. This is just my preference but some people will breed constantly. Also this will help to give you a constant supply of appropriately sized rodents instead of a large amount at one time and possible gaps in production.

    I'll probably get a ration of crap for this but you could use dog food and supplement with fruits and veggies. Although lab block is best.
