Kind of excited....might be getting a red tail boa
I am super excited because I might be getting baby male RTB. I have always admired these snakes for their beauty and their size. I am researching as much as possible right now and will not be getting the snake until I thoroughly understand the husbandry of these snakes.

Absolutely you won't be disappointed!! Boa's are so much fun. They have the best, inquisitive , good natured personalities. My little booger is adorable. He loves to be out. I can't wait until he has some size on him.

Boas are great animals, husbandry is not that bad at all, similar to balls. They are a lot of fun to have, I noticed that mine have more personality than most of my balls. Good luck with it all.

Boas are a joy to keep. It helps me from getting too caught up in my bps. They are much more tolerant of handling sessions for the most part and are literally garbage disposals. I think every snake keeper, especially BP keepers should have at least 1 to help take care of refusals.

I'm sure you'll love yours and get as much enjoyment from keeping one. Just keep in mind they are slow growing, but once they start packing on the weight they just become so amazing even majestic.

Congrats! Boas are a total blast, and the garbage disposal aspect is pretty handy if any of your balls go on a strike. There's very little in the way of warnings, since you've already got experience with balls. The only big behavioral difference I can even think of is the "boa flail"... boas like being out, and they tend to not like being put back in their tub, lol. Especially as they get some size on them, it gets to be a bit of a comedy act putting them back in their tub/cage XD Its still pretty adorable though, haha.

I think you will like having a boa. But be warned, they are just as addicting, if not more so, than BP's. Especially if you find yourself on the purist side of the community, and you get into the different localities. I just bought another one today at the Raleigh expo...:D
