accidentally nicked amniotic sac while cleaning bacteria

Now what the heck do I do? I was using distillled water and qtips to clean a cut egg that had got some bacteria on it ans the amniotic sac broke open. What should I do? Take it out and put everything into a wet paper towel?

What you do, is not cut eggs open until the first baby pips..

In the meantime, all you can do is keep it filled with distilled water. I don't know why you would have been poking a qtip in there for anything. I've never heard of that. If you're getting slime in the eggs, you cut too soon, but the sac protects the baby from that stuff. Just keeping it filled of it begins to dry out is all that needs to be done.

Day 65 they should be ready to come out. What temp did you incubate at?

Why in the world are they still in the eggs at day 65? Has the temp been exact all the way through the entire time? Fluctuations?

Dr.del told me to clean with distilled water and qtips to keep bacteria out. I know I cut to soon I did not realize my two temperature guages were about 4 degrees off until i had already cut them. So I was incubating at 85 instead of 89. I didnt want to cut them but let someone talk me into it but will never do it again(first clutch). Trust me I am kicking myself big time. So distilled water getting in there wont drown the baby?

If the sac has been broken then the baby should be breathing air now. Filling the egg with water could do more danger than good at this point. Has the hatchling started poking its head out now that the sac has been cut?

No,

You need to leave them in the egg.

The egg provides the oxygen they need until they are ready to leave - at which point they will move their head to the top and stick it out into the air. :)
