Questions about a Spider BP with the"wobbles"

Hello everyone! I recently got my second ball python(he is a Spider Ball Python) at a reptile show. He is only a little more than a month old, in fact he was hatched 7/17/12. I was completely unaware about the 'wobbles' that spider BP's have. Anyways, on to the question. I read that if your snake gets flipped on his back so his belly is facing up and he doesn't turn over like snakes usually do then that means he has the 'wobbles' is that true? He got flipped over once and didn't rotate back to normal once but I just though he was remaining still because he was scared, this was before I even heard about the wobbles. If it is true that he cant turn him self over, what happens if he falls of a branch or the top of his hut and cant flip over? Would he survive? Would he be able to move anywhere at all? Im just concerned about this because I dont get to see him every day and dont want this to happen. Thanks for reading and thanks in advanced for any answers!

The wobble does not affect their quality of life in any way as long as they can eat, drink, and defecate normally. Spiders are just a little "special" sometimes lol. No worries.

All spiders have this defect, though the degree to which the exhibit it varies between individuals, time of day, shed cycle, husbandry, etc.

If he has some minor motor control issues, I wouldn't worry. It's a known issue with spiders, and like the above poster said, they still thrive in captivity, live full healthy lives, and do all 'snake' things just fine, including breeding.

Snakes that are sick or stressed don't eat or breed.

Thanks for the help! Also he has tried to bite me a few times since I got him(which was 8/25/12), Im guessing its because he is young and not used to me or the new environment, but is there anything I can do to make him feel safer and not try and bite me? Feel free to leave some name suggestions, my top choice for the name is 'Spidey' but Im not 100% sure about it though. Im having some trouble putting pics up but here are some links for the pics

Babies are bitey, I'm sure he'll grow out of it.

My spider doesn't really flip upside down like that. But I have noticed he wobbles a lot when I handle him mainly and he likes to try and cruise around upside down sometimes. But it is different with each spider as everyone is saying. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it happens a lot, then I'd check to make sure husbandry is spot on, then maybe a vet. But it does sound like a spider to me lol

My spider morphs do experience wobble to a certain degree but nothing which affects their quality of life. They do everything fine minus the fact that they get loopy at times, its actually entertaining to see them go all over the place sometimes. Definitely nothing to worry about though.

my friends spider corkscrewed so much he couldnt even strike his food and had to be PTS, Once i saw this i made the decision never to have anything with the spider gene, each to their own but I cant positively say that it doesnt effect their quality of life... no one can cos they arent the snake. Snakes are instinctive animals and like all reptiles will not necessarily show pain and discomfort as it is a weakness and to be weak in the wild means death.
Its an individuals choice and I dont judge others on their choice. this is just mine but I wouldnt put wanting a nice coloured and patterned animal over the possibility of an animal suffering.
