Hey guys, I just got a 20 gallon tall tank for free and I was wondering what YOU would put in it.

    Thanks,

U could put anything in it lol. some people are good at making tops that can hold himidity for snakes but i am not one of those people. As a general rule i use tubs for snakes and glass for rodents. i have had too many tubs ruined from rodents chewing thier way out.

Not a huge fan of leos (no offense, just not my cup of tea.) and I use frozen rats so I have no reason to have a breeder tank. I am mainly a fan of snakes but I do like some lizards. Keep the ideas coming guys!

Also, if anyone has ideas for a 12x12x18 tall zoo med tank let me know too...

Stepped runner x2 they are a blast to watch. Pretty easy to maintain. Fairly new to the industry and if they take off you got in cheap. Or what I would do (providing you don't have one yet) set it up as a quarintine tank for your next addition. 20 gal tank is about perfect for any size ball especially if its just for a month or two.

How about a baby Beardie? Although you'd have to get a bigger enclosure later... Kenyan San Boas can live in a 20 gallon (long though), Corn Snakes can also live in a 20.

african flat rock lizards stay kinda small. you probably have to upgrade down the road.

I wouldn't buy an animal just to fill a <$20 aquarium.

If you're just looking for the sake of discussion and for funsies, I'd probably fill a 20g with a baby beardie or modify it and keep dart frogs in it.
