Doesn't look like one (to me) but more pictures would help out

From that pic i would say no. But more pics are necessary to give a more accurate answer...

a pic of the top of it's head and a pic of the underside of the tail would help

Some natural sunlight pictures will be great. The flash washes out the snake making it hard to judge.

But if I had to decide from the picture alone, I'd say not a fire.

Yes he's got stuck shed obviously...we are about to soak him in some water to get that removed in a few!!!!

I would soak him and get that stuck shed off so we can see the head better.
I don't believe it's a fire but can't completely rule it out either.
