    Newbie Question: BP "yawning"
Our sweet little 8 wk old baby normal has a strange habit of occasionally opening her mouth wide and closing it again. (Maybe once or twice a day that I've observed.) This is not aggressive behavior, since she does not pull her head back or strike when she does it. Her mouth, pits and nostrils are clean with no swelling or irregularities and what little I've seen of the inside of her mouth when she opens it is all pale pink with no redness. She's eating beautifully, having switched from live to f/t with no problem, and isn't showing any signs of a shed yet. Please let me know if this is normal behavior or if I should be concerned!

It's nothing to worry about and perfectly normal.

They dislocate their jaw to eat. She's just adjusting it back to a comfortable place.

I see my snakes yawn once or twice when I have them out and sometimes in their cages :) It's no problem and I love when they do it

Thanks, I really appreciate all the advice! Here's a low-light, phone pic of my pretty little girl, since she's just not getting any love on Instagram. (Everyone hearts my decorated cookies and monarch butterflies, but there's a definite lack of squeeing for my Millie!)
